Because of July 4th falling on a Tuesday, it wasn't really feasible to spend my second favorite holiday (May 8th, of course, is my first favorite) at the lake. We decided instead to spend the nite of the 3rd in Greenville, celebrating Mom's birthday and, the next day, America's independence.
We had a great couple of days that included, among other things, a swimathon, tractor races, and some sparklers that almost wouldn't light.
