Before becoming Mama to Jones and Freddie, I spent a ton of time in graduate school and, ultimately, taught theatre courses at my alma mater. These days, I'm still teaching theatre - just not as frequently - in the form of lectures at an area Performing Arts Center. I absolutely love this gig.
But even more, I love the "gig" I have, being home with my boys. It's not easy. Never let it be said that staying home is for the lazy. In fact, if I had a nickel for every time I've thought, "It'd have been easier to just go back to work!" I could easily make up the (small) salary I gave up. But, to be honest, there's not enough money in the world to make me want to leave my little buddies.
In addition to them, their daddy, and theatre, I love the Kentucky Wildcats, travel, music, reading, and, above all, Jesus.
I write this blog, so that I don't forget about my boys' childhoods the kinds of things I wish my mother remembered about mine.
