Cowboys & Pirates

Have I ever said how thankful I am that God gave me boys -- excuse me. COWBOYS.

Where Jones got that perfect gun grip, I will never know. I DO know, however, that he draws about like Barney Fife probably would've, if he'd ever had an occasion to use that single bullet Andy allowed him to carry around in his shirt pocket.

Agreed?

(Also notice Freddie in his "Blue Jeams." There is no weather too hot for him.)

Beach Fever

This weekend, we had the great pleasure of a bonus beach trip. In addition to our annual Pawleys Island vacation - and a couple of Summer jaunts that Jeremy won through Allstate contests - we spent this past weekend in and around Myrtle celebrating the marriage of Jeremy's cousin's daughter.

We headed down first thing Friday morning and checked into the Ocean Creek Resort (near Barefoot Landing) just in time for naps. Jones got to sleep on a sofa bed again, so he was in hog Heaven. Freddie, too, was in a bed of his own - in a room of his own! So theirs is a pretty "suite" life.

The wedding was held on Friday at a farm. This could not have been more perfect for my little John Deere men. They sat for about six seconds in the ceremony, before I decided the stress of keeping them in line was more than I was willing to deal with, so we snuck out and checked out all of the equipment and other stuff before the reception started.

The next day started out with a visit to the beach and included a delicious dinner at the Chesapeake House. The next day started out the same, only we had breakfast at Eggs Up Grill. Before heading home, we went to Broadway at the Beach. Nana and Pop went along, which THRILLED the boys.

All in all, it was a great trip that definitely whet my whistle to go to Pawleys in a few weeks!

I think they look so much alike here!
Evan tried to teach the boys to dance.

In my opinion, he never looks more like
his daddy than he does when he sticks
his tongue out like that.

biking to the beach

There was a slightly steep incline on
the ride to the beach. Freddie reached
out for his Pop to hold his hand,
which I thought was so sweet.

The boys were VERY excited to be the engineers!

Freddie didn't want anyone but Pop
to ride with him.

Mother's Day!

Poor little Freckle.
His eczema has been ON FIRE
this Spring. That's what he's doing in
this picture - scratching his itchy noggin.
