Easter Eve

Earlier this week, Jeremy read that there was an Easter Egg Roll today at Lake Junaluska. I LOVE Lake Junaluska, so any excuse to dress the boys up and take them out there sounded like a plan to me.

We kicked off our morning having breakfast with Nan and Pop at a new place that's opened up right outside the Lake Junaluska gates. The Buttered Biscuit may have taken FOREVER to bring us our food (and, more importantly, MY COKE), but it was delicious, and I can definitely see it giving Joey's Pancake House - another family favorite not too far down the road - a run for its money.

For some reason, though, both Jones AND Freddie were in RARE (read: TERRIBLE) form this morning. My best guess is that they were starving - which wasn't helped by the fact that our food took FOREVER to come out - but as soon as they ate, they were back to normal. Their behavior could seriously have been another "You need a Snickers ..." commercial.

Then we went to the Lake.

As soon as we walked over to where the boys' egg hunt was, Jones did what he does in new situations - "Can you hold my hand?" Then, "Can you hold me?" I was afraid he was gonna shy away and miss the fun. He didn't, though. He pretty quickly warmed up, and by the time the hunt got going, he was raring to go.

Freddie, of course, started out that way. We had the hardest time getting him to wait until they signaled the start.

At the end of it all, they were THRILLED - and AMAZED - to find out the little plastic eggs had candy in them. By the time they got home, however, they DIDN'T have candy in them. The boys ate every last bite.

They also yucked it up with the Easter Bunny again. Just like yesterday, we had him all to ourselves for several minutes, and the boys took full advantage.

All in all, we have had an absolutely amazing Easter weekend but are most excited to celebrate our risen Savior on His Resurrection Day.

I completely love this picture of Jeremy Robert,
Robert Jones, and Robert Michael, three of the five
generations of Robert Pressleys!

When I see this, I think, "I may be their favorite,
but these boys sure do love their daddy."

I love the way he's double fisting.

There used to be a lot of pictures where
I thought Freddie looked EXACTLY
like his Pop Pressley. It's been awhile,
since I've seen one, but here,
he DEFINITELY looks like his daddy's daddy!
"More candy? PLEASE?"

I don't know why the color of this photo
looks like it does, but I kinda love it.

This was pretty much as good as it
got with me and the boys. Ugh.
