a Few Funny Things

The boys and I decided to go to Lake Junaluska today.

Here are a few funnies from our visit.

1) As we left the house, I said, "Let's go, Boys," and Jones responded, "You got it, Captain MAMA!" He says this - or a variation of it - pretty often, and I just love it.

2) Usually, Lake Junaluska is COVERED in ducks, but today, we only found two, and we'd probably been there for about fifteen minutes when they showed up. When he saw them, Jones said, "I see 'em! I see dose ducks!" He then made a wad of his fingers and put them in his mouth, humming a whistling sound as if to summon more.

3) At one point, I turned around to find Freddie kissing a statue of a saint. Precious.

4) We walked the Labyrinth. Guess which one of my sons did a GREAT job following "the path" and which one ... didn't.

5) When we left, I pulled up to show Jones the big cross. "Who died on a cross to save us from our sins?" I asked Jones, hoping he'd remember all of the Easter accounts we've been reading lately. "JESUS!" he responded, to my delight. "What did they put Him in after He died on the cross?" "A WHALE?" he responded.
