I can't quite come up with the words to tell you how much fun Jones is becoming.

He's reached the level of independence where the fun we have with him is outweighing the work it takes to keep him functional. Add to that an exploding vocabulary and increased ability to communicate, and you have a recipe for all-out AWESOME.

One of the books we got from the library this week is called "Good Morning, Digger." Jones wants to read it (along with "Good Night, Good Night, Construction Site") every time we read, and through it, he's gotten very good at identifying several different types of heave machinery, instead of just knowing "keen" (crane) and "bullboze" (bulldozer) and calling everything else a tractor (he also knows combine and steamroller, but we almost NEVER see those out and about!).

Here's proof (please note: the way he says, "Oh, yes..." is one of my favorite things he does. He says it all the time. "Jones, what train is that?" "Oh, yes. Dat Gor-go (Gordon)." "Jones, where that orange fish?" "Oh, yes. Dair ee is.")

I can't even handle all the cuteness.

When I showed Jones this video as we rode in the car, he smiled and said, "Dat Jose. He read book home." I'm not even joking - maybe the twos aren't so terrible after all.
