This past Saturday morning, we planned to take the boys to the water park at the Waynesville Rec Center. We ended up instead spending the morning at the Appalachian Lifestyle Celebration before heading back to the Rec Center that afternoon after naptime.
A friend had posted about the Celebration on Facebook. Knowing how much Jones loves music, I'd thought he'd enjoy the bluegrass bands. I was not prepared, however, for how much FREDDIE enjoyed them ... and the popcorn that went with them.
To be honest, my younger son pranced around like the Mayor of Main Street whether or not the music was playing. While Jones is reserved until he warms up to a new situation, Freddie doesn't have the same incubation period. From the very beginning, he's just, like, "Hey, Y'all. Let's get this party started."
As expected, Jones DID get into the music, but it wasn't until after we'd watched the first of two sets and strolled down Main Street and back up again. It's funny to me how two children can be so different ... and yet so equally adorable.
