Our favorite firstborn is officially five years old ... and we've had three celebrations to ensure the occasion was adequately marked.The first was a Chuck E. Cheese affair with my family in Greenville. The second was a party with the Pressleys' at Nana and Pop's (as she always does, his nana made all of his favorites - creamed corn, broccoli "castle," and, of course, CHICKEN PIE). The third was today's visit to Dollywood.
Jeremy took a half day off, and we still got there in plenty of time to enjoy the boys' favorite parts of the park (OF COURSE, this included a ride on Pow Pow Bullseye) before checking out the amazing LumiNights display after dark.
Jones even willingly rode the ferris wheel, which he's done once before but didn't like. I'm taking that as a sign of better, braver things to come for our getting-so-much bigger boy.
