Last Lake Trip of 2015

We spent the first part of Labor Day weekend having this year's last hurrah at Lake Chatuge. The plan had been to come back on Sunday afternoon, so we could go to the Balsam Range concert that nite and, on Monday, the Canton Labor Day Parade. Then, Freddie woke us all up at 4:10 on Saturday morning, and suddenly, things changed.

Thanks to naps ... and a little bit of patience ... we were able to make it through the day, timing our departure to have us arriving home just in time for nite-nite. My waking thought on Sunday morning, as we were all still in bed at 7:30, was, "Coming home was the BEST decision we have EVER made."

Hyperbole? Not even a little bit.

Here are some pictures of the weekend that ended with Jones saying, "Bye-bye, Wake. Seadoo wheater!" (Bye, Lake. See you later!) as we drove over it one last time in 2015.

He has NO problem making himself at home.
It was College Colors Day on the day we arrived
at the lake, so, of course ...
When your brother wakes you up at 4:10 a.m.,
you eat breakfast just after 5 at the picnic table
on the front porch.

Shirts off is becoming increasingly
popular with both boys.
