The Pressley Group gets off the ground!

Today was a big day.

After six months of unemployment and five weeks of training, Jeremy officially opened the Pressley Group Allstate Agency.

And all God's people said ...

AMEN!

I dropped the boys off at the Pressleys' around 8:30, so I could be there just after the agency officially opened (I'd wanted to be at the closing to take pictures, but Jeremy insisted that wasn't necessary). By the time I got there, though, Jeremy's first clients were halfway through the quote process! His aunt and uncle bought insurance for a house that they use for a rental property. It was the house where Jeremy's grandparents lived, so it was very special - first, to have family be his first customers and second, to insure a house where he'd spent so much time.

Though the office was hopping for most of the day, the boys and I stopped back by to bring Jeremy an Arby's sandwich for lunch.

Later that afternoon, we went back to see Jeremy as he was closing up shop. He had to wrap up another sale before we could leave. After he did, we walked over to Bogart's for a surprise (to him, anyway) celebration dinner with his parents and my mom. Then, we gave our parents a tour of the office, said a prayer of dedication over the business, and headed home grateful for an opening that's been a LONG time coming.

We are so thankful to God for this opportunity!

This is Jeremy with the man he bought the agency from -
Tom Vaught.

Apparently, eating cake is a lot like
riding a bicycle. Though he hadn't been
given a piece of his own since his
birthday, Freddie remembered
EXACTLY what to do.
